Counseling

The Family Crisis Center is dedicated to supporting individuals affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. Our trained counselors offer compassionate, confidential services, and we provide referrals to licensed professional therapists for ongoing healing and recovery.

Crisis Intervention

The Family Crisis Center offers legal advocacy services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, including assistance with protective orders, assault charges, and Crime Victims’ Compensation (CVC) applications. We also provide accompaniment and support during court hearings, medical exams, and interactions with law enforcement to ensure survivors never have to navigate the system alone.

Emergency Shelter

When immediate shelter is needed, we can assist with transportation to nearby emergency shelters that offer secure, confidential housing. Our advocates work closely with shelter staff to ensure each individual’s specific needs are met, including access to food, clothing, hygiene products, and emotional support. We are here to help survivors find a safe place to begin their journey toward healing and stability.

Community Education

The Family Crisis Center offers prevention and educational outreach through health fairs, workshops, and specialized training. These programs are available by request and can be tailored to meet the needs of college groups, businesses, service clubs, community organizations, and other local groups. Our goal is to raise awareness, promote healthy relationships, and equip communities with the tools to prevent domestic violence and sexual assault..

Pantry

The Family Crisis Center plays a vital role in helping to meet the basic needs of clients by providing a wide range of essential items, including nutritious food, household toiletries, hygiene products, and other necessary daily supplies. These resources are thoughtfully offered to support individuals and families facing difficult circumstances, helping to ease immediate burdens and promote well-being.

Women’s Empowerment Class

This class is meant to help women build confidence and improve self-esteem. Participants will learn practical tools to overcome negative thoughts, set healthy boundaries, and embrace their true selves in a supportive environment. The course aims to empower women to face life’s challenges with resilience and self-compassion.
